Welcome to this introductory course covering the creation and application of Luminosity Masks in Photoshop. The course is designed to be standalone and requires no previous knowledge. Importantly, it's written from the photographer’s perspective.

The course features an introductory section containing two optional lessons. These are included to ensure:

• You understand the key concepts of masks in Photoshop.
• You are familiar with the Photoshop Workspace. And (optionally) can configure yours to match mine in the videos (it will make them easier to follow).

The course includes image files, allowing you to follow the videos on your own computer. Where a lesson introduces a new image, the image file will be included to download in that lesson. You will see the file below the video.

The course also makes extensive use of keyboard shortcuts. A help sheet listing all the shortcuts used is provided below the video. Be sure to download and print this before progressing to Section 1 of the course.
